Due to characteristics of the EB032C observations (short scans, very large data sizes), the normal standard plots weren't really sufficient to provide an adequate review of the entire scope of the experiment. We therefore made a different set of plots manually, as described below. These are in general more exhaustive than the usual standard plots, but also more complicated, since each pass was handled in a slightly different way. For specific data-quality comments that can be inferred from the plots, see the EB032C cover letter. The names of the plots files and a brief synopsis of their contents for the three different passes are: GEODETIC PASS: eb032c.geod-weight-[1,2,3].ps station weights vs. time eb032c.geod-auto-[1,2].ps station autocorrelation vs. freq eb032c.geod-cross-[1,2][a,p].ps baseline amp & phase vs. freq eb032c.geod-ampphase-[1-4][a,p].ps baseline amp & phase vs. time The weight plots show all 8 IFs & both polarizations per station on a single plot, with the below color-coding IF1/RR = red IF1/LL = blue IF2/RR = cyan IF2/LL = green IF3/RR = pink IF3/LL = med.grey IF4/RR = brown IF4/LL = purple IF5/RR = teal IF5/LL = yellow IF6/RR = steel blue IF6/LL = lt.grey IF7/RR = black IF7/LL = orange IF8/RR = lt.green IF8/LL = lt.purple There are two versions of the weight plot for the data from the first three "geodetic" blocks: [1] plots with time on the x-axis (leaving sizable gaps between the geodetic "blocks" in the schedule), and [2] plots integration number on the x-axis. The fourth geodetic block is in plot [3]. Each 2s integration is plotted as a separate point. For the plots vs. frequency, one minute of data is selected from two scans: [1] = scan 6 (2225-045; no Jb)and [2] = scan 371 (2148+065). The baseline plots show all baselines, and plot amp [a] and phase [p] separately. The color coding for these plots is: Red=RR, Blue=LL. These plots are vector averaged over the included time-range. The y-axes for the real and amp plots self-scale per baseline, not necessarily going down to zero. The phase scale is always +/- 200 degrees. The ampphase plots show each of the 4 geodetic "blocks" separately, as denoted by the first number in [], also with amp [a] and phase [p] separately. Each integration is plotted as a separate point. The amplitude plots show all IFs/pols for each baselines on a single plot, using the color-coding of the weight plots. The phase plots show just IF6, which is where the Cm signal is, using the color-coding of the auto/cross plots. Each plot is made by vector averaging over the middle 80% of the bands. CONTINUUM PASS: eb032c.cont-weight-[1-3].ps station weights vs. time eb032c.cont-auto-[1-3].ps station autocorrelation vs. freq eb032c.cont-cross-[1-3][a,p].ps baseline amp & phase vs. freq eb032c.cont-ampphase-[1-3][a,p].ps baseline amp & phase vs. time The number in [] for the weight and ampphase plots refers to a "block" of schedule: [1] = between the first two geodetic blocks, [2] = between the second and third geodetic blocks, and [3] = between the third and fourth geodetic blocks (although this one only shows scans >= 381, from the third Nt pack that was processed via a separate Measurement Set to speed the archiving of the data from the first two Nt packs). The number in [] for the auto and cross plots refers to which of three fringe-finder scan one minute of data was taken: [1] = scan 17 (3C84), [2] = scan 194 (J1347+1835, 3min avg), and [3] = scan 372 (3C345). **** Note that the order of IFs shown in these plots reflects how * the experiment was scheduled: for the continuum pass IF7-8 are * actually the lowest-frequency pair. In the FITS files, the IFs * are put into increasing-frequency order. The following table shows * the translation. * in MS in FITS * IF1,2 -> IF3,4 * IF3,4 -> IF5,6 (line in here IF6 [in FITS]) * IF5,6 -> IF7,8 * IF7,8 -> IF1,2 * This is only an issue for the continuum pass (geodetic pass has * the IFs in increasing frequency order as scheduled; the line pass **** has only 1 IF [containing the maser emission]). The weight plots show all 8 IFs & both polarizations per station on a single plot, with the color coding as in the geodetic-block weight plots (the color-coding refers to the MS IF ordering). Each 0.5s integration is plotted as a separate point (the postscript files are huge, corresponding png files are not). The plots vs frequency are directly comparable to the corresponding plots in the geodetic block, except for the scan used. The ampphase plots show only Ef-* baselines for the IF which the microwave link from Cm fully covers [IF4 in MS-ordering, IF6 in FITS-ordering). This allows the phase(t) plots to remain uncluttered enough to trace the phase on the reference sources throughout the experiment. Target sources are not plotted, and in the amp(t) plots, neither are the fringe-finders, so not to dominate the dynamic range of the y-axis. Color coding remains Red=RR, Blue=LL. LINE PASS: eb032c.line-weight-[1-3].ps station weights vs. time eb032c.line-auto-[1-5].ps station autocorrelation vs. freq eb032c.line-cross-[1,2][a,p].ps baseline amp & phase vs. freq eb032c.line-cross-[3-5]a.ps baseline amp vs. freq eb032c.line-ampphase-[1-3]p.ps baseline phase vs. time The weight and ampphase plots are directly comparable to those from the continuum pass, except here there is only one IF (hence Red=RR, Blue=LL). No amp(t) plots are shown; the only difference between these phs(t) plots and those from the continuum pass is the number of frequency points in the correlation. There are five scans shown in the auto plots. The first two use 1 minute of data from a fringe-finder scan: [1] = scan 17 (3C84) and [2] = scan 506 (3C345). The last three show a maser-source scan from each "block" to demonstrate that the proper IF was correlated: [3] = scan 60 (S252), [4] = scan 201 (MONR2), and [5] = scan 477 (ON1). The cross plots show the same five scans, with the fringe-finder scans plotting amp and phase (separately), but the maser-source scans plotting only amp.
