L band (18 cm) global VLBI experiment, observed on 08 November 2009. The data rate was 128 Mbps (2 x 8 MHz subbands, dual polarization, two-bit sampling). The target source 'M82' was calibrated using the phase-reference source 'J0958+65'. 'J0927+39' and '3C84 were also observed as fringe finders and calibrators. In this pipeline reduction, Ef served as reference antenna and as plot reference, i.e. the plots show baselines to Ef.
6 EVN stations (Da, Ef, Jb, Mc, Nt, Tr) and all 10 VLBA stations were scheduled in this experiment. At Jb, the Lovell Telescope was used. Da replaced the originally scheduled Cm. Mc was out until 07:40 UT due to problems with the Mark5 recorder. Tr was 9 minutes late. Mk started at 06:42 UT as scheduled. Sc experienced frequent periods of lost communications between 07:23 UT and the end of its schedule at 20:11 UT. Kp was out of point at 09:09-09:28 UT. OV reported HC1 FIFO errors at 12:58-13:02 UT. Pt automatically stowed due to a power glitch at 21:46-21:49 UT. More information can be found in the P.I. letter which is also available from the archive (section "Standardplots").
The EVN reliability indicator (ERI) for this experiment was
ERI = 0.94 . ERI* = 0.94 .
(Da=1, Ef=1, Jb1=1, Mc=0.85, Nt=1, Tr=0.99)

Comments.
TSYS against time
Comments.
looks reasonable; Hn: generally high T_sys; 7 pages
Telescope sensitivities
from the a priori TSYS and Gain
curves (the square of this number gives the antenna noise (SEFD) in Jy - the
smaller the better).
Comments.
curves match closely those of T_sys vs. time; 7 pages
Fringe-fit phase solutions
(including Parallactic
Angle correction).
Comments.
looks reasonable; reference antenna: Ef, drift in phases reflects the parallactic angle correction; 7 pages
Fringe-fit delay solutions
Comments.
reference antenna: Ef; delays of the order of (tens of) nanoseconds; Da: a few outliers; 7 pages
Fringe-fit rate solutions
Comments.
reference antenna: Ef; rates of the order of a few mHz; Da: a few outliers; 7 pages
Telescope bandpasses
Comments.
reference antenna: Ef; in general, bandpasses look good and phases close to zero (except for edges of Da); 2 pages
Calibrated amplitude and phase against time
(a
priori amplitude calibration and fringe-fit solutions applied).
Comments.
phases of calibrators in general close to zero, amplitudes look reasonable; 16 pages
Calibrated amplitude and phase against frequency
channel
Comments.
phases of the phase-reference source in general close to zero; phases of the calibrators close to zero, too, except for 3C84 on long baselines (extended source); Hn: amplitudes of Ef-Hn differ significantly from those of similar baselines; 1109 pages
