General Comments.
(Brief data summary (tape/disk)
and scan listing (tape/disk))
MarkV test experiment in the L-band in piggyback mode: the same datastream was recorded on tape from headstack1, and to the MarkV units from headstack2 (Mc&Wb). Noto and Jodrell Bank recorded only on tape. The data rate was 256 Mbit/s - there were 4*8 MHz IFs in both polarizations. Medicina was the reference antenna in the pipeline. Both the tape only and the mixed tape-disk data were processed. The observed sources were 3C84 and DA193.
Wb started a minute late, Jb was off-source after 17:00 UT. The EVN reliability indicator was ERI=ERI*=0.88 for the tape only data, while it was ERI=ERI*=0.91 in the tape-disk case (Wb=1, Mc=1, Nt=1, Jb=0.79/0.85). Jb did not head peak in one pass, but it did during the correlation of the tape-disk data. The disk data for Wb showed two dead tracks and the disk data for Mc showed one dead track due to an incorrect cable connection during recording.
Plots of the autocorrelations (tape).
Plots of the autocorrelations (disk).
Comments.
Some channels for Mc and Wb had low weights, but crosscorrelation data were not flagged. The low weights come from the dead tracks mentioned above.
Wb: RFI in L1/R1 (beginning of observations)
Mc: very strong RFI in L4
Jb: very strong RFI in L4/R4
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against time (tape).
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against time (disk).
Comments.
Jb did not head peak in scan 2, during the tape-only correlation.
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against frequency
channel (tape).
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against frequency
channel (disk).
Comments.
There are high delay residuals for Noto, but this is NOT a station related problem (Nt clock was not properly updated by us).

correlations against frequency channel (tape).

correlations against frequency channel (disk).
Comments.
TSYS against time (tape).
TSYS against time (disk).
Comments.
Mc: high Tsys in L4 near 14:15 UT is due to RFI
Telescope sensitivities (tape)
Telescope sensitivities (disk) from the a priori TSYS and Gain
curves (the square of this number gives the antenna noise (SEFD) in Jy - the smaller the better).
Comments.
Mc: Rpol was somewhat less sensitive than expected, see the EVN Status Tables.
Nt: Rpol was somewhat less sensitive than expected
Jb: L4/R4 was somewhat less sensitive than expected, due to RFI
