General Comments.
(
Brief data summary
and
scan listing
)
This is an EVN spectral line experiment at 5cm observed on 6 June 2003. The data were correlated in two passes, each with a different phase center for the target source. Only the first pass has been pipelined since all other correlation parameters are identical: 1024 spectral channels, dual polarization, no cross-pols. 7 stations participated: Jb, Cm, Ef, On, Mc, Tr, Hh. Mc did not produce any fringes at 5cm in this session.
The EVN Reliability Indicator (ERI) for this experiment was ERI=ERI*=0.70 (Jb=0.99, Cm=1.0, Ef=0.99, On=0.98, Mc=0, Tr=1.0, Hh=1.0).
Plots of the autocorrelations
.
Comments.
Some RFI is evident, particularly at Cm and On. Apparently not as severe as in EM053A.

Comments.
TSYS against time
.
Comments.
No Tsys for Cm.
On: LCP Tsys shows a sudden, ~20% decrease around UT 23:15.
Telescope sensitivities
from the a priori TSYS and Gain curves (the square of this
number gives the antenna noise (SEFD) in Jy - the smaller the better).
Comments.
Most telescopes have expected sensitivity as tabulated in EVN status table
Cm: SEFD nominally assumed to be 500 Jy (large uncertainty)
Tr: reduced sensivity for LCP
Hh: slightly reduced sensitivity for RCP. Station reported intermittent problems with RCP receiver during the experiment.
Fringe-fit phase solutions
(including Parallactic Angle correction).
Comments.
Phase solutions generally appear smoothly connected.
Hh: gaps where solutions not found on phase-reference source (J1825).
Fringe-fit delay solutions
.
Comments.
Largest corrections are of order 10ns.
Fringe-fit rate solutions
.
Comments.
All within a few mHz.
Telescope bandpasses
.
Comments.
Calibrated amplitude and phase against time
(a priori amplitude calibration and fringe-fit solutions applied).
Comments.
Calibrated amplitude and phase against frequency channel
.
Comments.
Phases appear nice and flat across band. Increase in amplitudes at upper end of band - flagging of low S/N data in highest channels may be required.
