General Comments.
(
Brief data summary and
scan listing.)
This project consists of 10 stations: Cm, Eb, Wb, Jb (MK2), On, Mc,
Tr, Ur, Sh and Hh. However, Tr and Ur produced no usable data. Used 2
8-MHz bands x 2 Pol. with 2-bit sampling (Sh only produces LCP). Eb
is the reference antenna. No Tsys was produced at Cm and instead it
is calibrated assuming its theoretical sensitivity. Due to an error
pre-correlation, plate motion and axis offset corrections were not
applied for Hh. These have been made as part of the pipeline and
entered into CL2. The script used to perform the correction is
available from the pipeline webpage
(http://www.evlbi.org/pipeline/user_expts.html). ERI=0.59 (Cm=1.0,
Eb=0.98, Wb=1.0, Jb=0.86, On=0.98, Mc=1.0, Tr=0.00, Ur=0.00, Sh=1.0
and Hh=0.98), ERI*=0.59 (technical errors only).
Plots of the autocorrelations.
Comments.
Cm: autos in IF2 (LL) are intermittent.
Sh: some autos are present in RR, but this is just noise.
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against time.
Comments.
Sh: data missing after ~09:00 due to source setting. RR data just noise.
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against frequency
channel.
Comments.
None.
The uncalibrated amplitude and phase of the crosshand
correlations against frequency channel.
Comments.
None.
TSYS against time.
Comments.
Cm: very little Tsys data, but not necessary as all values are 1.0.
Telescope sensitivities from the a priori TSYS and Gain
curves (the square of this number gives the antenna noise (SEFD) in Jy - the smaller the better).
Comments.
Cm: theoretical sensitivity assumed. Eb, Wb, Jb, On, Sh, Hh: antenna sensitivity degraded (SEFDs >25% higher than nominal value at Eb, Jb and Hh and 70% higher at On).
Mc: antenna sensitivity somewhat better than nominal value.
Fringe-fit phase solutions.
Comments.
Eb: displays parallactic angle correction.
Fringe-fit delay solutions.
Comments.
Sh: FRING has flagged Sh data in RR.
Fringe-fit rate solutions.
Comments.
None.
Telescope bandpasses.
Comments.
Cm: note flagged edge channels.
Calibrated amplitude and phase against time
(a priori amplitude calibration and fringe-fit solutions applied).
Comments.
None.
Calibrated amplitude and phase against frequency channel.
Comments.
None.
Phase corrections applied to a priori calibrated and fringe-fitted data by self-calibration.
Comments.
Sh: no solutions are found for 3C286, probably due to source
resolution.
Hh: few solutions are found, probably for same reason as Sh.
Naturally weighted dirty map produced before self-cal of:
0851+202.
OQ208.
3C286.
Comments.
0851+202: very noisy.
3C286: barely detected.
OQ208: best detection.
Uniformly weighted dirty map produced before self-cal of:
0851+202.
OQ208.
3C286.
Comments.
See above.
Amplitude corrections applied to a priori calibrated and fringe-fitted data by self-calibration.
Also available as a text file.
Comments.
None.
Telescope sensitivities (the total AMP gain applied during
both a priori and self calibration; the square of this number gives the antenna
noise (SEFD) in Jy).
Comments.
Amplitude self-cal has corrected the worst of the antennas (Jb, On and Hh), bringing the sensitivities in line with what is expected.
Residual closure phase (visibility closure phase with model closure phase subtracted) for:
0851+202.
OQ208.
3C286.
Comments.
Systematic offsets from zero are obvious in OQ208 and 3C286 and are larger in 286.
Calibrated visibilities and the source model of:
0851+202.
OQ208.
3C286.
Comments.
None.

Comments.
OQ208: dead and spiky data visible.
