General Comments.
(
Brief data summary
and
scan listing
)
This is an EVN-only spectral-line experiment at 21cm (dual polarisation, one-bit sampling, 1 IF per polarisation). Participating stations were Ef, Mc, Wb (tied-array - 13 ants!), On, Tr and Jb (Lovell) - all stations produced fringes, but the fringes from Tr are very weak and basically useless. The reference antenna for calibration and plotting was Ef. The EVN reliability indicator was ERI=0.61 (Ef=1.00, Mc=1.00, Wb=0.97, On=1.00, Tr=0.00, Jb=0.82) in this experiment. ERI gives you an estimate of the ratio of observed/good visibilities to the expected number visibilities. ERI* is the same but excludes data lost due to circumstances out of the EVN's control e.g. bad weather (ERI*=0.66).
Plots of the autocorrelations
.
Comments.
RFI is apparent at Mc, Wb and Jb.
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against time
.
Comments.
Tr: weak fringes obvious.
Jb: last two hours lost due to high winds.
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against frequency
channel

Telescope sensitivities
from the a priori TSYS and Gain curves (the square of this
number gives the antenna noise (SEFD) in Jy - the smaller the better).
Comments.
Most antennas have sensitivities comparable to those given in the EVN status table.
On: Sensitivity is somewhat better than one would expect.
Tr: Difficult to say because of large range of plot, but sensitivity appears to be degraded.
Fringe-fit phase solutions
(including Parallactic Angle correction).
Comments.
Nice solutions on all antennas apart from Tr.
Fringe-fit delay solutions
.
Comments.
Nice solutions on all antennas apart from Tr.
Fringe-fit rate solutions
.
Comments.
Nice solutions on all antennas apart from Tr.
Telescope bandpasses
.
Comments.
Nice solutions on all antennas apart from Tr.
Calibrated amplitude and phase against time
(a priori amplitude calibration and fringe-fit solutions applied).
Comments.
Most of Tr data is now missing as not calibrated.
Occasional bad solutions have caused errors in the interpolation.

Comments.
Calibration errors are again obvious e.g. first scan of 3C454.3.
