General Comments.
(
Brief data summary and
scan listing.)
This project consists of 8 telescopes: Ef, Wb, Jb, Nt, Mc, On, Tr, Cm.
Used 8-MHz 4 bands x 2 pols, with 2-bits sampling. Obtained 4 pairs of polarization (LL, RR, LR, RL). 16 spectral channels per IF.
Eb is a reference antenna.
Fringes were detected only in baselines of Ef, Wb, Mc, On, Cm.
ERI=0.15 (Ef=1.00, Wb=1.00, Jb=0.00, Nt=0.00, Mc=1.00, On=0.40, Tr=0.00, Cm=0.02), ERI*=0.15 (artificial errors only).
Plots of the autocorrelations.
Comments.
Wb: A wide and mild spur at band center in IF1-4 R&Lpols.
Jb: Data found during 10:30-15:30.
Nt: Data found during 4:30-9:00, 11:30-15:30, sometimes data lost in IF2-4 R&Lpols.
On: A bright spur in IF4 Lpol.
Tr: Data found during 9:00-15:30.
Cm: Data found only during 04:53-05:16, in IF1&3 R&Lpols.
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against time.
Comments.
The firnge finder and phase-reference sources were detected in Ef-Wb, Ef-Mc, Ef-On. No fringe in other baselines.
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against frequency
channel.
Comments.
The sources were well detected with small phase gradient along frequency in above baselines. No fring in other baselines.
The uncalibrated amplitude and phase of the crosshand
correlations against frequency channel.
Comments.
The sources were well detected with small phase gradient along frequency in above baselines. No fring in other baselines.
On: Occasional loss of fringe.
TSYS against time.
Comments.
Some data points were removed because of the limitation of Tsys data points in AIPS CLCAL and the pipeline script.
Jb: Approximately set Tsys=90 K in IF2 Rpol.
Nt: Data available during 11:30-15:30.
Cm: No valid Tsys data, set Tsys=1.0 K.
Telescope sensitivities from the a priori TSYS and Gain
curves (the square of this number gives the antenna noise (SEFD) in Jy - the smaller the better).
Comments.
Eb, Nt: Roughly consistent with that in the EVN status tables.
Wb, Jb: About 150% of that in the EVN status tables.
Mc: About 120% of that in the EVN status tables.
On: About 250% of that in the EVN status tables.
Tr: 160%-250% of that in the EVN status tables.
Cm: Set to the value consistent with that in the EVN status tables.
Fringe-fit phase solutions.
Comments.
Solutions determined with systematic phase variation in Ef, Wb, Mc and On.
Eb (reference): Gradual phase slope coming from PA calibration.
On: 40% of data produced no solution.
Jb, Nt, Tr: No solution.
Fringe-fit delay solutions.
Comments.
Wb: Offsets within 20 nsec.
Mc: Offsets within 8 nsec.
On: Offsets within 10 nsec.
Fringe-fit rate solutions.
Comments.
Rate offsets less than 3 mHz.
Telescope bandpasses.
Comments.
Well determined in amp&phase in above 4 telescopes.
Calibrated amplitude and phase against time
(a priori amplitude calibration and fringe-fit solutions applied).
Comments.
Large phase drifts were well reduced.
Calibrated amplitude and phase against frequency channel.
Comments.
Phase gradients along phase were well removed, but phase offsets still remains.
Phase corrections applied to a priori calibrated and fringe-fitted data by self-calibration.
Comments.
Wb: Phase jump at 13:40.
Mc: Phase jump at 12:50.
