General Comments. ( Brief data summary and scan listing )
C band (6cm) continuum phase-referencing experiment, observed on 1 March 2009. The data rate was 1024 Mbps (8 x 16 MHz subbands, dual polarization, two-bit sampling). The target sources 'IRAS17526', 'IRAS03134', 'IRAS05414', and 'IRAS11069' were calibrated using the phase-reference sources '1746+340', '0310+013', '0601+578', and '1059+282'. '1739+522' and 'DA193' served as fringe finders. '3C286' was also observed as primary flux calibrator calibrator for MERLIN. In this pipeline reduction, Ef served as reference antenna. The plots show baselines to either Ef or Wb.
9 EVN stations participated in this experiment: Cm, Ef, Kn, Jb, Mc, Nt, On, Tr, Wb. Due to the limitations of the microwave link, not all subbands of Cm could be recorded. Data from Kn were recorded on the spare tracks of the Cm disk pack; the signal transmitted from both stations seems to be in the upper half of subband 2 and the lower half of subband 3 (= IFs 3+4). At Jb, the MkII Telescope was used for these observations. Its LCP channels all show low amplitudes and a (very) low fraction of high bits. As agreed with the PI, we refrained from flagging channels with a very low fraction of high bits in this experiment in order to keep the LCP channels of subbands 0-4 in the data set. At Nt, the amplitudes of the LCP channels of subbands 5-7 are significantly lower than those of the RCP channels and subband 7/LCP has a very low fraction of high bits. On had recording problems with two disk packs and thus lost in total 75 minutes of data (20:12-20:34 UT and 06:06-06:59 UT). Wb observed in phased-array mode. Its RCP and LCP feeds of subband 3 seem to have been swapped at the station, which was corrected in the $TRACKS section corrected prior to correlation.

The EVN reliability indicator (ERI) for this experiment was ERI = 0.99 . ERI* = 0.99 . (Cm=1, Ef=1, Kn=1, Jb=1, Mc=1, Nt=1, On=0.95, Tr=1, Wb=1)

Plots of the autocorrelations
Comments.
moderate-level RFI at Jb and Mc; in general, stable bandpasses; Kn/IF4 shows a spike and ringing in both polarizations; wiggely, but stable bandpasses at Wb/RCP+LCP and Mc/RCP; 1000 pages

plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against time
Comments.
phases can be followed in the calibrators; amplitudes stable; 64 pages

Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against frequency channel
Comments.
even uncalibrated, phases can be followed in the calibrators and the phase-references source; generally stable bandpasses; Cm, Kn: valid data in IF3/upper part and IF4/lower part; Mc: now and then fast phase rates in individual channels, e.g. IF5/RCP at 22:30 UT, IF1/LCP at 00:54 UT, IF5/RCP at 05:52 UT; 1909 pages

The uncalibrated amplitude and phase of the crosshand correlations against frequency channel (not available)
Comments.

TSYS against time
Comments.
Cm, Kn: Tsys=1 (microwave link); Nt: Tsys of LCP channels significantly higher than Tsys of RCP channels; sometimes small jumps in Tsys when switch to a new source (e.g. Ef at ~12:00 UT and ~20:30 UT, Mc at ~06:00 UT), probably an elevation-related effect; 15 pages

Telescope sensitivities from the a priori TSYS and Gain curves (the square of this number gives the antenna noise (SEFD) in Jy - the smaller the better).
Comments.
gains closely match Tsys; 15 pages

Fringe-fit phase solutions (including Parallactic Angle correction).
Comments.
refant = Ef, drift in Ef phases reflects the parallactic angle correction; Cm: rather fast phase drift; a few brief instances when phase rotation goes haywire, please review solutions (e.g. Jb, Wb, On, Nt .. at ~16:00 UT); 12 pages

Fringe-fit delay solutions
Comments.
refant=Ef; delays of the order of nanoseconds (tens of nanoseconds for Cm), except for Mc/IF5/R+L; a few outliers (Cm, Kn, Mc); 12 pages

Fringe-fit rate solutions
Comments.
rates of the order of a few milliHertz; a few outliers (e.g. at ~20:00 UT); 12 pages

Telescope bandpasses
Comments.
looks ok: phases close to zero, amplitudes at ~1; 2 pages

Calibrated amplitude and phase against time (a priori amplitude calibration and fringe-fit solutions applied).
Comments.
nothing unusual; Cm, Kn: need to edit out channels without valid data; 52 pages

Calibrated amplitude and phase against frequency channel
Comments.
phases of calibrators close to zero; in general stable bandpasses; Mc: at time steep phase slope across the bandpass in IF5/LCP (e.g. at ~17:00 UT); 1909 pages
