General Comments.
UR not included as the tape had not arrived at time of correlation. LCP only correlated.
Plots of the autocorrelations.
Comments.
Severe RFI at MC, SH, RO and JB for duration of experiment. Intermittent severe RFI at TR and EF. No obvious phase cal tones at WB or TR.
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against time.
Comments.
EF stowed from 11:00 to 12:10 and 13:20 to end of experiment due to snow. SH amplitudes are weak, probably due to source structure. Note the high amplitudes (good sensitivity) of the EF-WB and EF-RO baselines.
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against frequency
channel.
Comments.
RO and WB: IF2 has lower amplitude than IF 1.
TSYS against time.
Comments.
No valid Tsys for RO. EF, TR and SH have higher Tsys on IF 1 than IF 2 (this is reasonable for SH given the differences in the uncalibrated amplitudes).
Telescope sensitivities from the a priori TSYS and Gain
curves (the square of this number gives the antenna noise (SEFD) in Jy - the smaller the better).
Comments.
TR is much less sensitive than indicated by the EVN status table (SEFD=230 Jy). SH sensitivity on IF 1 is lower than expected (SEFD=1088 Jy, from Status table). NT sensitivity is lower than expected (SEFD=784 Jy, from Status table).
Fringe-fit phase solutions.
Comments.
Fringe-fit delay solutions.
Comments.
Fringe-fit rate solutions.
Comments.
Telescope bandpasses.
Comments.
Outer 4 channels of each IF have been deleted.
Calibrated amplitude and phase against time
(a priori amplitude calibration and fringe-fit solutions applied).
Comments.
Calibrated amplitude and phase against frequency channel.
Comments.
RO, WB and EF: have lower amplitude in IF2 than in IF 1.
Phase corrections applied to a priori calibrated and fringe-fitted data by self-calibration.
Comments.
Amplitude corrections applied to a priori calibrated and fringe-fitted data by self-calibration.
Comments.
MC, TR, JB: amplitude corrections are large on both IFs (>=20%). RO: amplitude corrections are large on IF 2.
Telescope sensitivities (the total AMP gain applied during
both a priori and self calibration; the square of this number gives the antenna
noise (SEFD) in Jy).
Comments.
SH: sensitivity in IF 1 lower than expected. TR: overall sensitivity after amplitude self-cal better than predicted by Tsys values, but still lower than expected from the EVN status table. RO: sensitivity of IF2 less than that of IF 1. NT, JB: sensitivity is lower than expected from the EVN status table.
Calibrated visibilities and the source model of 0059+581
Comments.
Source appears resolved on baselines to SH.
Crude map of 0059+581 from the pipeline.
Comments.
Direction of extension (to the West) agrees with known source structure.
