General Comments. ( Brief data summary and scan listing )
EX004 is an EVN continuum experiment at 5 GHz, observed on 31 October 2004. There are two polarizations and two subbands, with 16 spectral channels. DA193 and OQ208 are public sources, all others are proprietary and password protected until one year after the release date of the data.

The EVN reliability indicator (ERI) for this experiment was ERI = 0.98 . ERI* = 0.98 . (Ef=1.0, Jb=1, Wb=1, On=1, Mc=1, Nt=1, Tr=1, Sh=1, Ur=0.91, Hh=1). Ur lost data due to problems with antenna control PC. Noto data may not be useful due to use of rubidium standard in place of the damaged Hydrogen maser.

Plots of the autocorrelations .
Comments.

Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against time .
Comments.
Noto has poor phase coherence due to use of rubidium standard in place of the damaged Hydrogen maser. Very short solution intervals will be required in fringe-fitting - these data may not be useful.

Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against frequency channel .
Comments.

The uncalibrated amplitude and phase of the crosshand correlations against frequency channel .
Comments.

TSYS against time .
Comments.

Telescope sensitivities from the a priori TSYS and Gain curves (the square of this number gives the antenna noise (SEFD) in Jy - the smaller the better).
Comments.

Fringe-fit phase solutions (including Parallactic Angle correction).
Comments.
Ef was the reference antenna.
Fringe-fitting failed for 1751+278, 2322-040. This may be recoverable by fine-tuning the FRING parameters to maximize the signal to noise ratio.
Solutions for Noto should be treated with care as the solution interval was not optimised for the short coherence time.
Sh and Hh failed for many sources (perhaps due to source becoming resolved out on the longest baselines?).

Fringe-fit delay solutions .
Comments.
Results for Noto look reasonable in spite of the short coherence time. However, they should be checked carefully.

Fringe-fit rate solutions .
Comments.

Telescope bandpasses .
Comments.

Calibrated amplitude and phase against time (a priori amplitude calibration and fringe-fit solutions applied).
Comments.
The effect of some bad phase-rate solutions are apparent in the phases. More careful data editing is required. Scatter on Nt phases is very large as expected.

Amplitude corrections for Noto are very large. May be due signal loss resulting from the poor coherence.
Torun has very large amplitude corrections.
