General Comments.
No fringes detected to UR. Only RCP was observed. EF is reference antenna.
Plots of the autocorrelations.
Comments.
RO amplitudes low, MC low in IF 3. NT amplitudes a little low.
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against time.
Comments.
EF: the unusual amplitude pattern on some baselines (e.g. to MC) is simply due to the EF clock not being accurately corrected prior to correlation resulting in a large phase slope across the band and hence some time-varying decorrelation when the channels are averaged. There is no problem with the data once it has been fringe-fitted. UR: No fringes detected. WB: Bad data on IF 3 for much of the experiment is due to a playback problem at the correlator and time constraints prevented recorrelation of the affected data. This is not a recording problem. There is however a problem with WB phases between 11:00 and 12:10. The phase jumps by 180o every ~10-60 seconds during this time range. WZ: no fringes on IFs 3 and 4. Possible patching/setup problem (geodetic setup?).
Plots of the uncalibrated amplitude and phase against frequency
channel.
Comments.
WZ: no fringes on IFs 3 and 4. NT: amplitudes lower (~20%) on IF 2 than on other IFs.
TSYS against time.
Comments.
YB: very few Tsys measurements made during experiment.
Telescope sensitivities from the a priori TSYS and Gain
curves (the square of this number gives the antenna noise (SEFD) in Jy - the smaller the better).
Comments.
WB, RO and WZ are much less sensitive than indicated by the EVN status table. SH sensitivity is much higher than expected (SEFD=590 Jy, from Status table).
Fringe-fit phase solutions.
Comments.
Amplitude corrections applied to a priori calibrated and fringe-fitted data by self-calibration.
Comments.
RO, WZ: amplitude corrections are large on all IFs (>=20%).
Telescope sensitivities (the total AMP gain applied during
both a priori and self calibration; the square of this number gives the antenna
noise (SEFD) in Jy).
Comments.
SH: sensitivity on all IFs much higher than expected. It is likely that self-calibration was not able to correct problems with a priori amplitude calibration because of the poor u,v coverage on long baselines. RO: overall sensitivity after amplitude self-cal better than predicted by Tsys values, but still lower than expected from the EVN status table. WB: sensitivity is lower than expected from the EVN status table.
Residual closure phase (visibility closure phase with
model closure phase subtracted) for DA193.
